Hostal Killari “Moonlight” is a hostel that offers a personalized service in a family atmosphere. We offer our visitors a comfortable, cozy, safe and the most complete information so you can enjoy an unparalleled travel experience in our country. We are located in the city of Lima in the district of Miraflores in a strategic area, six blocks from Larcomar and very close to the main tourist attractions of the city.
Introduction to Peru with us!
Hostal Killari was a great base for our stay in Lima. It is situated in the safest neighbourhood- Miraflores and only a short 10 minute walk from Lacomar. It is about a half hour drive from the airport. We recomend that you organise a pick up rather than get an ‘official taxi’ from the airport because we were charged s/125 when it should have only been about s/40.
We stayed in the ensuited room with a double bed and found our 2 nights there very comfortable. We were suprised that the tarrif included breakfast (eggs with toast, jam and orange juice). Wifi is also included and there is a computer and printer which is free to use in the lobby. Alejandro and his staff were very pleasant and accomodating. This place is highly recommended for those on a low budget who want a safe, comfortable and friendly place to stay in Lima.
This is my second time in Miraflores and my first stay at Hostal Kilari. It is much quieter here than it is near Kennedy Park or one of the big hotels on Larco Avenue. There is a lot of honking taxis and loud cars on Larco during the day and at night. The only drawback is that when you are here you will have to take a taxi to Larcomar or the Kennedy Park area as opposed to walking. If you prefer the trendy/Bohemian atmosphere of Barranco, Kilari is right next to it. Those are the pros/cons of the location.
The building is very secure. You have to be buzzed in at all times. People from the street cannot just walk in.
My room contained 2 twin beds and a small closet area.I was very happy with how soft the beds are. I sleep on a pillow top mattress and it is very hard to find anything close to that in a hostal.
My room and bathroom were cleaned very well each day.
I did not hear a lot of noise from the other guests. It was very quiet during my stay.
The staff here will do anything to please. I think they live for customer service.
I’m not a bacon and eggs guy so I did not try the breakfast.
I was very pleased with my stay. I rate this as 5 stars for a $50.00 a night hostal.

The Huaca Pucllana, also Pucllana or Huaca Juliana, is a great adobe and clay pyramid located in the Miraflores district of central Lima, built from seven staggered platforms. It takes its name from the Quechua word “pucllay,” meaning “game,” which in its entirety can be translated as “a place for ritual games.” It served as an important ceremonial and administrative center for the advancement of the Lima Culture, a society which developed in the Peruvian Central Coast between the years of 200 AD and 700 AD. It has become one of the main tourist attractions of Lima and the archaeological site of Lima most researched. It is built almost entirely with bricks and filled with pebbles and sand. It consists of a pyramid of 25 meters and a set of courtyards, plazas and enclosures Northeast of it. It has a showroom, circuit visits and other attractions.
